From the little Scottish girl wearing a kilt and brandishing a tiny sword to the Heidi look-a-like in dirndl skirt and pigtails, these small cuties arrived in boxes painted with scenes from their countryside and a clear plastic front so you could stand them on a shelf and still be able to enjoy them. Back in days past, the only place to get a hold of these dolls and the accessories would have been by shopping in toy or department stores or even by catalog. A pretty wrapped gift for a birthday or holiday was a treasure for a little girl to open. In modern times there is available many more choices of ways to purchase everything needed for the best dressed doll.
