There are many times when children will do things in a manner that involves crossing the boundaries and when this happens, it leads to conflict with their mothers and fathers. For their parts, parents are desirous of caring for their children in the best manner possible. One way of providing good care for a child is to start off by defining acceptable and non acceptable behavior in a child.
Once the parent has defined the boundaries of good and bad behavior they must then understand what it takes to enforce the rules that they have set out in regard to a child’s behavior. It is also important for the parent to look at 2 types of rules that have to be enforced in order to keep the child in check.
House rules should, at the first instance, be those that reflect values that parents want to enforce and which are to do with their moral authority. In addition, these house rules must also ensure that the child learns to live in perfect harmony with their mothers and fathers. However, the house rules should not be enforced at the expense of the child’s freedom.
A better idea is to encourage the child to learn how to act responsibly and be independent. However, this responsible living and independence must be earned rather than obtained as a gift. Teaching the child to work and be independent is desirable and parents must encourage this as much as they can.
Even if parents are sure that their children will follow house rules, they may still need to set certain boundaries such as forbidding the child to stay out all night. This is an obvious restriction because no parent likes to allow their children to stay out at night. The best way to create effective boundaries of good behavior is to first discuss all aspects with the child and then establish house rules which must also be just and fair.
In fact, parents should, when their child reaches the age of eighteen, discuss things so that house rules can be formed. It pays to sit down with the child and then everything that is discussed should be put in writing so that everything is clear and there is no room for ambiguity.
The boundaries of acceptable behavior must deal with what the child can and cannot do and it is also important o specify how the child will support themselves in whatever they have to do. The rules must also be laid down that show what will be done if the child breaks bounds and does something that he or she should not do.
Be sure to specify acts and behaviors that are absolutely forbidden and these should be spelt out clearly in writing. This will help in drawing a thin line between carrying the child on your shoulders and showing proper support to them.

There is a lot to consider when getting ready to plan a baby shower. It might be a good idea to prepare a checklist to make sure everything is covered. Five main things one should consider when planning a shower is the guest list, food/menu, registry, games and decorations. It would be good to come up with a theme for the shower whether it’s “Pretty in Pink”, “It’s a Boy”, teddy bear, all white or specific colors that mom really likes.
After the date of the shower has been set one should compile a guest list. The planner(s) should decide on a number of guests and whether it will be co-ed or for women only. Some people have showers that consist of couples while others may just be women and small children. A location for the party also has to be decided. Will the shower be held at someone’s home or in a restaurant or a church? A lot of baby showers are hosted by a relative or friend.
Now that the location and guest list have been decided on next comes the menu. Food can really make or break a party and it’s no different with a baby shower. Of course everyone comes to celebrate with mommy the soon arrival of her new bundle of joy but it’s good to please the guests’ tastebuds too. Will the party be formal? Will it be catered? Should it be potluck-style? There could be a buffet. There could be just fruits, veggies and cheese; or select friends could each bring a dish. Whatever the case, a menu should be arranged well in advance. Also a cake or cupcakes would be nice congratulating the parents. Baby’s name or a message could be written on the cake while cupcakes could just have cute decoration in harmony with the party theme. If not, a couple of sweet desserts should definitely be served.
Invitations also play a major role in planning a baby shower. Besides, how will people know to attend if they receive no invitation. By this time the menu should be finalized and you can also order the cake if you wish but that can be probably done the week of. Some of the decorations you might consider purchasing include: a welcome sign, confetti, balloons, centerpieces hanging or wall decorations, table cover if necessary, streamer, napkins, plates and utensils. You would have already decided on a theme so everything should be in sync with that theme. Around this time party games and prizes can also be bought.
During the days leading up to the party you should make sure the camera is charged and has memory clear. Purchase flowers if necessary, wrap prizes and gifts, and make sure the house or party area is clean. You might even like to have some background music so be sure that the necessary equipment is working properly. You are sure to have an awesome baby shower with the right planning and preparation. No parent enters parenthood fully aware and prepared for the surprises parenthood brings. If all parents had a crash-course on parenthood, it would have been one of the easiest things to do. That is why when parents begin to notice that their child is ignoring the rules, they begin to panic as well.
The inevitable time will come when that cute little baby that you have nurtured and cuddled through the night becomes a determined preschooler who screams at you and demands that you turn the TV on, “right now”. Seeing your child act like that the first time could make you think back and evaluate if you have done something wrong to get that much hate from your kid. Although the emotion could be real, hatred is not exactly what your child feels.
It is understandable to feel violated and disrespected when your child yells at you or say something rude. It could be a real challenge to manage your emotions and not take things personally, in the same breath that it could be a challenge not to get your feelings hurt.
But if it is any consolation, it is actually a good sign that your child begins to challenge your rules and attempts to demand what they want. When your child breaks your heart without worrying about you not loving them afterwards actually means a developmental milestone. But still, it does not mean that the behavior is acceptable.
Parents have varying standards as far as discipline and acceptable behaviors are concerned, so you have to get to work and identify what feels acceptable and unacceptable to you.
When you hear your child say, “I hate you!” in a firm and loud voice, breathe and relax. Do not take it personally because actually, what he is trying to say is something like “I’m hungry or I’m exhausted or I’m scared” and so on.
Instead of making a fuss about it and taking it seriously, try some active listening and communication techniques so that you will be able to indentify what your child truly feels while letting him know that his saying it wrong. Try not to negate what your child said or you will end up in a power struggle, or give his words more power than they should have.
So when your child tells you something rude next time, say in a calm voice, “I know that you are upset because I won’t let you eat the cake before dinner, but yelling at me like that is wrong”. When you let your child know what is acceptable from otherwise, you will be in control and you will be able to reinforce your child’s boundaries without letting your emotions get in the way.

Her other sons, who are much older than he, taught their new, adopted brother the family business and Kris thrived at it, adding a new creative element and introduced the elves to a wider variety of toys by developing his own. (Santa produced the first sled, called the Santa Swoosher) His innovative thinking helped make the workshop what it is today.
Santa was a good friend of Scientist, Albert Einstein. The two of them were inseparable for a time, complains Mrs. C. They would spend weeks in front of one chalkboard, eating close to nothing and drinking very little cocoa. She understood though and let him get away with it. She knew that, as smart as Santa is, he would need help in the astrophysics side of delivering the toys, since he has to jump in and out of dimensions. One would have to, I guess, to be able to deliver all those toys in a single night. NASA designer, John Edward Ellison received the first space shuttle designs for Christmas one year from Santa, who keeps a cache of toys in space so he does not have to continuously travel to the North Pole and back so often on Christmas Eve.
