The world’s population had tremendously grown through the years and sources had shown that in 2010 there are about 6.8 billion people living on earth and is expected to continuously grow to 7 billion before the end of 2011. A huge population can be a very serious problem since the resources in our planet had been depleted and not enough to support all its inhabitants. This is why family planning is necessary.
To slow down the growth of our population countries around the world had already passed several laws about family planning. This is defined as a program to regulate the number and spacing of children in a family through the practice of contraception or other methods of birth control.
To make it an effective solution to our population problem there are schools who are discussing this subject to students to make them aware of this. And also churches require couples to attend seminars on family planning before getting married. The governments around the world had launched campaigns with local governments to make the public aware of the different techniques.

Abstinence is staying away from having intercourse; this is a 100% effective method to avoid being pregnant but what most of the people find the hardest thing to do. Using birth control pills is one of the most common methods practiced by women but this could have some effects on the hormonal activities of women. Another way is the use of barriers such us condoms and cervical caps, but prescription from doctors are sometimes required when buying these contraceptives.
Surgery like vasectomy for men and tubal ligation for the woman are also methods to control birth but not all those who want to undergo these surgeries are allowed; there are some criteria that the professionals have set before allowing it. Withdrawal is a natural method done by couples which is risky. Calendar planning is also a natural way of preventing pregnancy done by women. A woman can track her menstrual cycle and can predict when her fertile day is and avoid having intercourse during those days.
Several methods of family planning are available but the key point to make when fighting against population growth is having the discipline within us. The methods will be useless and ineffective if there is no discipline. The problem will never cease to exist if we don’t cooperate and give effort to the achievement of our goals.

I have had a special interest in the Sudan flag for a number of years. This horizontal banner is a tricolor, meaning that this flag is made up of 3 bands (also called stripes). This flag also displays a triangle on the left side of the national ensign, also called the hoist side. The Sudanese proudly hoist this ensign on Sudanese residential flag poles.
This country has an official designation, which is: the republic of the Sudan. This landlocked country is located in the eastern part of the continent of Africa, with countries such as Egypt and other bordering this beautiful territory. Back in the day, it came under rule of the British as well as the Egyptians, about one century ago, right around the turn of the century.
When the country first achieved independence, the Sudan flag first featured the colors blue, yellow and green. Sudan was granted independence on January 1, 1956. This flag was replaced a few years later, in 1970, following the 1969 revolution.
There is an interesting resemblance between the current flag of Sudan and the national Egyptian banner that is hoisted on modern-day Egyptian flag poles. The current Sudanese ensign hence is an obvious statement of the Egyptian influence that was more prominent in the past.
The actual origin of the name of the capital city of this nation is uncertain. Counting nearly 5 million people today, one tradition states that the name of the capital was derived from the Arabic word: “kartum,” which in English means: “end of an elephant’s trunk.” Some controversy remains and will remain about the capital’s name.
Fascinating meaning was given to the respective flag-colors. For those interested and familiar with national banners and flags, they can provide one with a wealth of information. The meaning of the red color is said to symbolize blood, or the sacrifice of lives of those that fought on behalf of the Sudanese people. White represents peace. Black represents Sudan or the official name of this nation. Interestingly, the green color has substantial meaning in Islam.
In terms of the country’s education, most of it is found the republic’s capital city of Khartoum. In this city high schools are found, but also public and private universities, including the International University of Africa, the Nile Valley University and the Public Health Institute.
At times the secretary bird is featured on the center white horizontal band. Indigenous to the country, the secretary bird appears in the state of arms. The two inscriptions are the name of the state and the motto: victory is ours! This Sudan flag is hoisted proudly on Sudanese residential flag poles of all kinds.

A brand new health care bill was introduced on May 11, 2009 by Senator Michael Bennett of Colorado that was supposed to advance patient care and reduce the amount of money being spent on health care. It is called the Medicare Transitions Act of 2009. This bill is designed to manage patient care by enabling the Medicare patients to get immediate intervention and follow-up services that are effective once they get out of hospital.
It is meant to provide the public with a national list of transition care providers within their communities. It is for giving care to Medicare patients who still need medical help even after leaving hospital up to the point when they would be able to take care of themselves.
The personal follow-up care would be availed to elderly patients too to enable them manage their conditions away from hospital but the medication to be ministered to them effectively.
This bill will reduce the cost of medical care and reduce the number of people who return to hospitals for readmission. Very many old people normally get caught up in this as one out of every five discharged from hospital each month get to return for readmission.

In order to explore the historical facts about an old taxation system on windows in the United Kingdom, read on. The window tax was a tax which was introduced into the United Kingdom in the late 17th century by King William the third. He was finding it hard to find a way to tax people based on their income or wealth because many people refused to tell the king how much they earned. They felt it was a completely private matter and certainly no business of the King.
So, in order to be able to impose some sort of taxation on his people, the king decided that people with large houses could be taxed on a tiered system. There was a tax rate of 2 shillings for every householder. This equates to roughly ten new pence. In addition to this there was an extra tax for the householder if their house had more than ten windows.
For a property which had between 10 and 20 windows the householder would pay an extra four shillings on top of the base line 2 shillings. For a property with over twenty windows, the window tax was 8 shillings extra. In later years, the minimum number of windows which would be taxed was reduced to 7. In 1825, a house with a minimum of 8 windows was to have an extra tax imposed.
Poor residents of course did not have to pay this extra window tax. If they were eligible to receive church charity, for example, then they would be exempt from paying.
In order to evade this tax, residents resorted to bricking up extra windows. This occurred mainly in the 17th and early 18th centuries. In Scotland, this tax was not introduced until the 1780s by William Pitt the Younger. Even here, residents painted over their windows black with white crosses. These became known as Pitt’s pictures. A visitor to Charlotte’s Square in Edinburgh can still see these windows on some of the houses.
It may be possible that in contrast to this, many of the richer families actually had extra windows designed into their houses. They commissioned properties with as many windows as possible. Even blank walls had window facades to create the look of more windows.

If you live right in front of the river’s edge you may very well already have flood insurance. Overall, the incidents of flooding have increased significantly over the past ten years. There are some areas that have never seen flood waters before that are now seeing water damage that is caused by rising waters produced by new monster storms.
Every region runs the risk of flood waters these days. Flood insurance is not expensive and it is a simple way to protect your home in the event of a serious disaster.
