I have had a special interest in the Sudan flag for a number of years. This horizontal banner is a tricolor, meaning that this flag is made up of 3 bands (also called stripes). This flag also displays a triangle on the left side of the national ensign, also called the hoist side. The Sudanese proudly hoist this ensign on Sudanese residential flag poles.
This country has an official designation, which is: the republic of the Sudan. This landlocked country is located in the eastern part of the continent of Africa, with countries such as Egypt and other bordering this beautiful territory. Back in the day, it came under rule of the British as well as the Egyptians, about one century ago, right around the turn of the century.
When the country first achieved independence, the Sudan flag first featured the colors blue, yellow and green. Sudan was granted independence on January 1, 1956. This flag was replaced a few years later, in 1970, following the 1969 revolution.
There is an interesting resemblance between the current flag of Sudan and the national Egyptian banner that is hoisted on modern-day Egyptian flag poles. The current Sudanese ensign hence is an obvious statement of the Egyptian influence that was more prominent in the past.
The actual origin of the name of the capital city of this nation is uncertain. Counting nearly 5 million people today, one tradition states that the name of the capital was derived from the Arabic word: “kartum,” which in English means: “end of an elephant’s trunk.” Some controversy remains and will remain about the capital’s name.
Fascinating meaning was given to the respective flag-colors. For those interested and familiar with national banners and flags, they can provide one with a wealth of information. The meaning of the red color is said to symbolize blood, or the sacrifice of lives of those that fought on behalf of the Sudanese people. White represents peace. Black represents Sudan or the official name of this nation. Interestingly, the green color has substantial meaning in Islam.
In terms of the country’s education, most of it is found the republic’s capital city of Khartoum. In this city high schools are found, but also public and private universities, including the International University of Africa, the Nile Valley University and the Public Health Institute.
At times the secretary bird is featured on the center white horizontal band. Indigenous to the country, the secretary bird appears in the state of arms. The two inscriptions are the name of the state and the motto: victory is ours! This Sudan flag is hoisted proudly on Sudanese residential flag poles of all kinds.
Author has had an interest in flagpoles for a long time.

On the surface, the question “What is a family?” seems obvious. It’s the people you’re related to, right? The ones you’ve known every day of your life, or the ones you wake up to every morning. It’s the core unit around which your life is built, that shapes the shape of your day, that pushes you to do what you do.
That should cover it, yes?
Not at all. We tend to think of our family in terms of responsibility, as in family responsibilities. The places we have to go. The people we must help. The things we must do for them. All of those duties are indeed things that must be taken care of as a family does bring with it certain obligations. We must not forget however, that family is not all about what we do for them, but for what they do for us.
Family Life Assists in Your Development as a Person
Families are there to guide the children, yes. But those children are also instrumental in guiding their parents or guardians down roads they never knew they would take, just ask any parent or guardian and they will concur. Family erects the framework to assist you in making the difficult choices in life, pushing you to places you never imagined you could go, while at the same time keeping you loyal to the family, the ones who love you most.
Family’s Build Strength of Character
You may have heard the bit of philosophy that you never know your strength until strength is the only option you have left. The family instills this strength in you and gives you the confidence to use it when you need to. Family is your foundation.
Family is your Rock
If you are out there flailing around without a rudder, it is not because you are alone and no one is there to give you assistance. It is because you are too terrified or too proud to reach out for assistance, afraid that people will judge you harshly.
Family is your rock, the people standing there waiting for you when you turn to them from help. When they judge, they judge with love with one hand while holding out the other. Family is a source of stability in the onslaught of a life that can seem too filled with insanity to be real at times.
What your Family is Faced with
Modern society doesn’t do a lot to encourage family stability. Obstacles that can destroy your family lurk around every corner. It is your duty as a child, a parent, a spouse and an individual to understand the value of the family unit, no matter who it is that makes up that unit, and do whatever is required to hold that unit together. You will find your efforts to be worthwhile.

Funeral homes are also referred to as funeral parlors or mortuaries. These are all businesses that provide burials and funerals for the dead and their families. Mortuaries take care of the legal aspects of the memorial service, the family directs the other details. Options include a viewing, church service, or graveside gathering. It is also possible to have the body cremated. Burial without a service is an additional possibility, as is a service with a closed casket. It is up to the family to choose what is best, except in the rare cases when the deceased planned it out themselves before death.
Family members of the dead pick out what services will be included and the details of their arrangement. Mortuaries take care of necessary permits and paperwork that are required by law. Communication with cemeteries and providing an obituary to news media can also be handled by businesses.
When a traditional funeral is chosen, it normally includes a viewing, or visitation, followed by a service at a funeral home chapel or a church. The visitation is done in a large area where people come and congregate. Usually the casket will be nearby so that the visitors can go up to it and pay their respects.
Following this, there is generally a graveside service for committal as well. However, none of these elements are required. In some cases a family may wish to have a burial without the viewing or other services, referred to as direct burial.
When direct burial is chosen, the other ceremony components are skipped. Instead the key concern is to bury a loved one as soon as is possible. Another option is not to bury the body at all. When cremation is preferred, the funeral home takes care of any necessary paperwork and arranges the cremation process.
If a body must be transferred from one mortuary to another, it must be prepared for shipment while in a casket. This casket is then strapped to an airtray or combination type unit. Moving remains is necessary when the cemetery the burial will take place in is in another state or outside the country.
Upon arrival at a mortuary, the deceased may be embalmed to slow down the decomposition process. To do this blood is removed and replaced with preservative dyes and chemicals. The internal organs are also aspirated and personal features set according to specifications made by the family. Makeup may be used to help with appearance of the person as well.
When deceased individuals are disfigured from an accident or disease, an embalmer can sometimes restore the body. When this is done, open casket viewings are a possibility. However, sometimes this is impossible or not wanted by the family, in which cases closed casket services are best.
funeral homes Toronto help the families of deceased individuals by providing them with burial and funeral services. They handle the legal aspects on their own but look to the family for guidance for other details. Family may choose to have a viewing, church service, and graveside gathering. Or they may just want a quick burial. It is also possible to cremate the body or select a closed casket service.

Indian sub-continent was the original cradle of Buddhist art forms. Interaction with the other religions and communities made positive influences on the Buddhist religion and helped it to expand all over Asia. Gradually, Buddhist art became well-known and Japan became one of the capitals of Buddhist art and culture.
The art form actually followed the believers of the religion who were growing in number and spreading around in Asia. From the north through to Central Asia and then into Eastern Asia Buddhism was spreading like wild fire. It extended all the way to Southeast Asia.
The art scene in Japan before the advent of Buddhism had been influenced by a variety of art movements and cultures. The Yayoi and Kofun periods had just come to pass leaving their mark on the Japanese art culture.
Buddhism was really relocating in Japan from its birth place. The proselytizers and priests of Buddhism made a good use of their art works to attract the common people and within the 6th century, Buddhism became well-rooted in Japan. Today Japan is known to be the largest Buddhist country in the world.
Soon after the introduction of Buddhism in Japan, it began to make impacts on the Japanese life and art. A large number of monasteries and temples were built up. The Kofukun-ji temple in Nara, the five story pagoda and the Golden Hall of Horyuku are the existing examples of the Buddhist art forms of those times.
Buddhist art forms were exhibited in different sculptures and paintings and the government also sponsored a number of artists in order to nourish the Buddhist art. The art of that time was attractive and was based on realism because of the Korean, Chinese and Hellenistic influences.
The period ranging from the 8th century through to the 13th century saw Buddhist art develop to a great extent. The Nara period as well as the Heian and Kamakura period is known for their Buddhist art. The Japanese artists developed rich figurative art that was used in order to portray their deities. Hindu and Shinto influence were also apparent in such works. In general Buddhist art appeared to be extremely varied but at the same time very innovative and bold.
After the 13th century, the classical Buddhist art took the form of Zen art. This philosophy was brought to Japan by Dogen and Eisai. In addition to the painting and pottery, the art of flower arrangement named Ikebana and the martial arts found their way to growth in this time. These art works express their eagerness to unveil the real meaning of life.
Today Japan is home to around 80,000 Buddhist temples. Most of these temples have been constructed from wood and have undergone massive repair for the purpose of preservation.

Working with mental healing through holistic therapy tips is all about work on the three key points for a successful healing session. They are working on a positive mind set, gratitude, and working in the present moment.
These things all sound very simple to implement into our lives, so why do not more people do this? It is all really based on how we were learning growing up and what the emphasis is to these things instead of conformity to chaos and negativity.
When I refer to mental healing, it is all really about working within the confines of the mind. For this we can work on different areas such as affirmations and mantras, shifting your mind set into a positive one, removing mental barriers, goal setting, life goal achievement statements, and one of the big ones is taking responsibility for our lives. When we work on healing these areas and issues this is when we become strong mentally and can take control of our lives.
When we work through distant energy healing sessions it can help us incorporate a lot of change in our life, but if we are not strong and confident in our mental aspects then this can bring back into our life the old patterns that we resonate within. This causes a leak within our physical energy and things go back to old pattern of life. It is not that the other healing did not work, but you have to supply the mental healing behind this to change things in your life. You would not go and lose weight to only go back to the same ice cream shop and eat this everyday again.
Mental healing is vitally important in any healing work and can be done in the comfort of your own home. The key stepping stones for mental healing are to keep things positive, focus on the gratitude you have in your life, and stay in the present moment.
Starting with a positive mind set shifts your energetic vibrations to bring into harmony what you are focusing on, so staying in a positive mind set and finding that silver lining or hidden opportunity is very important.
Focusing on the gratitude in your life is just as equally important. The biggest issue that many people come across is that they focus on the material possessions that they are grateful for. I am not saying to not be grateful for them, but you are forgetting the most important thing you have and that is your infinite potential and power that resides from within. Without this infinite potential, none of this work would be possible. So the statement, “I am grateful” works best. You are grateful, and that is it; you don’t have to list the house, car, job, or whatever else that is in your life. Simply being grateful for your life is the key!
Working on staying in the present moment is the final key stepping stone for your mental healing process. You have to remove yourself from the past and let go of trying to live in the future.
When you incorporate all of these key tips into your holistic therapy and energy healing routines, you can accomplish so much in your life that you were never opened up to before.

We have all had our own spiritual connections since we came onto this planet when we were born. They have always been there with us and will always be there with us. It is up to us to develop and work with them. Many of us were never taught how to use them or tap into this power. You can do this today by using holistic healing tips and techniques to enhance your spiritual body!
There are many different ways that you can start using this work and it all depends really on what resonates within you and your pathway for this to begin. Some of the more common aspects we will touch on in this article, such as journaling, establishing that stronger connection with your spirit guides, higher self, energy healing and working through some meditation issues to enhance these connections.
Working through your journaling process is something many people are afraid to tackle or are not sure of where to even begin. When you think of journaling, you have to really think of this as a process of growth and this is your new starting point. This point is where you can mark this down in your journaling book, or a diary if you will, of where you are now to keep track of all of your spiritual experiences and your communication through this work in your life.
When most people think of meditation, they cringe as they feel it is something of a chore or a long process to work through. You have to work with meditation is short amounts of time and then work up from there. Think of this as your quiet time for yourself and to work through what you need to in this space.
Focus your intention and state your healing process before you begin so that you and your spiritual connection know what you want to accomplish during your session.
Connecting with your higher self and your spirit guides is very important in the spiritual healing process. You can do this by working through journaling, meditation, and even working with your energy healing for your every day to day tasks. By sending this extra healing process it can increase your connections from within. It is about tapping into the power from within for your higher self. This is where you will be given the knowledge that you wouldn’t normally know the answers to.
When connecting to your spirit guides ask them questions on how you can advance your healing, what they are here to teach you, and how you can progress to the next level. They are here to help in any way you let them.
You can work on this pathway throughout your life and continue to develop your own spiritual connections right from this very moment. It it up to you on where you want your life to lead in this area and you can keep track of all of this with your journaling process. One last important tip I will share is to incorporate water energy healing into this work, as water is a clearing mechanism for your spiritual connections. Try working with this when you take your next shower and see the answers you get in your life.

Holistic healing is all about tapping into the mind-body-spirit connection, plus incorporating the core cause of the problem to heal the issue at hand. Focusing on the topic of healing cancer is a big one that can be diagnosed in men, women, children, and the elderly. It can be healed with a variety of modalities, along with traditional medicine if so pursued.
Tackling cancer head on through a energy healing approach should be done by working on the separate mind-body-spirit concepts first and then the underlying root cause should be tackled. Once these are completed, then the healing session should be combined into one extensive healing that should be repeated daily until the ailment is completely healed. Because we are all different energetic beings, our healing rates will vary depending on what type of cancer you are working on, the underlying causes, and your approach to the healing that is being done.
Working with the mind concepts first, the biggest hurdle to conquer for many who face cancer in their life is the issue of fear. Fear of dying is the biggest fear for this issue and it is one that must be handled before you can move forward. Once you remove this fear and release this, you can replace this with the concept of being healthy and focus on the positive aspect of your healing. This will shift your mindset into a positive one and you can move forward!
For the body portion of the healing, these can be done using a variety of techniques, such as energy healing, sound and vibrational work, crystal usage, acupuncture, acupressure, and many other modalities. It is about understanding where the cancer is and how you resonate for the healing that is provided as to how much and how often this is needed.
Spirit connections are so important to establish for any type of holistic healing, as you have to have a strong connection with your higher self, spirit guides and Universal Spirit or source energy. This is a vital key that can be accomplished with such tools as meditation, prayer, and journaling.
Working on healing the root cause of the cancer issue is something that is extremely important to do for the healing sessions to be successful. Once you have removed this core problem the dis-ease will no longer be there to grow and expand, but rather be replaced with healing light to be repaired and become healthy again. If the root cause is not released, removed, or healed the cancer will continue to come back into your life in other forms.
After all of the separate areas have been worked on individually and the issues have been dealt with, it is time to bring all of this work together into one healing session to be given every day until the cancer has been completely eliminated. Your body and life will be filled with positive healing energy and you will be healthy and happy to live a balanced life again!

Holistic healing can be of great value to you especially if you connect through spirit. The connection has the potential to produce unlimited knowledge and power. When you make this connection with your holistic therapy and develop your spiritual enlightenment this will help your healing abilities exceed your most great expectations.
The idea of a spiritual connection to some people maybe confusing as for many people don’t know how to tap into this particular area of there life so this may confuse them. The spiritual beings that we are help us to reconnect with our own healing on a deeper level and help us to heal ourselves on many levels throughout our everyday life with holistic healing.
Your chosen pathway can be connected with your higher self and the higher power in your life. Spirit connection can help you with your own pathway in life such as universal source, the almighty one, or what ever you choose to call the higher power that you seek in life.
It is important to establish all of these connections, and not just one, as they all work in harmony with each other. If you can imagine a telephone within your physical body and the other telephone is within this Universal Source. The connection between them, which would be the telephone wires (before wireless came into play) would be your connections through your higher self and spirit guides.
Now with wireless phones, it is the same concept. You cannot see these wires but you can still call from one cell phone to another. You cannot see your spiritual connections, but they are always there!
Some common spiritual healing issues that can be corrected are things such as a disconnected feeling, loneliness, abandonment issues, and a loss in faith. These are not the only ones, but are some of the more common issues that one may experience. They can all be healed within your life, along with many others.
Everyone can develop and strengthen these connections, from the very young to the very old, and can do them in some fun and easy ways! Once you start working with your spirit connections in your life you will see how vitally important they are to not only your healing, but also your developmental growth.
Try this new work at home and see the difference it makes in your life through your intuition, meditation, your connection issues, as well as your general overall well being.

Baptism is a very special event for the family and the baby. If you are invited to this event, you should bring a special gift. Read this article to know more about choosing the best baby baptism gifts.
Your relationship with the family will determine the choice of your gifts. If you are just another family acquaintance, you can get away with something generic. However, if you are considered very close to the family, or if you are appointed as the godparents, then you should prepare a personal and outstanding gift too. In any way, it is best if you can make some effort to personalize your gift, no matter what you have chosen for the child.
You should know the family’s church denomination before buying something religious. There are some things that are not appropriate as gifts in certain churches. For example, the Protestant denominations do not believe in Virgin Mary, patron saints, or praying with rosaries. However, gifts that are related to those things are very welcomed in Catholic families.
Then, you should know the basic information of the family, especially the child. Ask the baby’s name, date of birth, baptismal name if the child has any, and the name of the parents. This information is very useful if you want to personalize your gift. Be careful not to misspell any name if you want to order personalized gifts.
Traditionally, people give keepsakes as christening fits. The purpose of these gifts is to remind the family of this ceremony. In the old days, the custom christening gifts were eating utensils that were made with silver and then engraved with the baby’s name. Silver forks, knives, and spoons were very popular. This is not a strict tradition now so you can give something more practical that the family needs.
If you want to contribute something to the sacrament or the celebration that is often held after the ceremony, do not hesitate to discuss it with the parents. They might need a christening gown, a cake, food, guest favors, or drinks. These are great things you can give as christening gifts to the family.
Nowadays, people start to have the child’s future in mind when they are giving christening gifts. The godparents or people who are very close to the parents or the child sometimes give monetary gifts to the baby. Saving bonds, college funds, and stocks are some popular modern christening gifts that are practical and thoughtful.
Clothing, strollers, baby blankets, or other things that a baby needs are also practical gifts that are now popular as baby baptism gifts. You can even give a gift basket that contains selection of baby items. You may also give them toys or books that are appropriate for their age.
Lastly, wrap your gift as nice as possible. For this event, you should choose wrapping in pink, sky blue, yellow, or other pastel colors that are appropriate for babies. You might want to ask the shopkeeper to wrap your baby baptism gifts. Add a beautiful gift card and sign it with some well wishes.
